I can only hope you next tell me Asus is upgrading their R1F Tablet to:
-CPU: Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo T7800 -Graphics: Do the same thing Sony is doing on the SZ series (Switch capable between integrated low power to higher end NVidia chip when needed) -CONNECTIVITY: 802.11a/b/n with external on off switch, bluetooth, Cell company option -DRIVE: DVD/CD burner with future Blu-Ray burner module promised if not included -PORTS: 4(at least) USB ports eSata port Express Card Capable sd/cf reader -SPEAKERS: Give us something to be proud to listen to music through
-Carbon Fibre exterior like the Sony SZ series
AND... if there is anything that will make it easier to swap out to SSD HDD capable in the future, do it
If Asus does this, I will buy (along with a couple thousand share of their stock) ;)
I'm hoping to purchase one of these, but I want decent specs with decent price. I dont' see the point of desktop power on a UMPC since the whole experience is different. Mostly going to do quick and usueful stuff on it, use it as a pda, quickly adjust some photos, make notes, use google maps, e-mail on the go. I don't expect music on it, I do expect to be able to edit a document, spreadsheet on it though but nothing fancy...no photoshop, or movie editing...
the specs seem great on it so far, and I am considering buying this or a sony ux, but the battery life neeeeeeeeeeds to improve...

So, basically, you want a desktop in the palm of your hand.
